I have started a new project, making hats, blankets and some clothing for the Preemies in the NICU. They are in need of hats to keep their body heat in, blankets to help the parents feel more comfortable with this tiny person that is here too. The Preemie Project volunteers are busy knitting and crocheting for our annual Cy-Hawk challenge.
TPP donates Iowa Hawkeye black/gold and ISU Cyclone cardinal/gold hats, booties and bedding to Iowa NICUs to celebrate the great annual cross state football event/5(76).
The Preemie Project was called upon to help make the event extra special for the NICU. TPP volunteers graciously sewed and donated cute superhero bedding for this event. We also donated Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman Capes and masks for the hospital’s tiniest patients.
The Preemie Project does NOT need donations of the following items: Regular knit, crochet hats in all preemie and newborn sizes. We do still need white hats in all sizes for our infant bereavement program.

Project Preemie looks to make life a little bit easier and more joyful for families that are facing the NICU Journey. With help from our Project Preemie family, we will offer support through care packages, meals, gift cards and connection with other preemie parents.Download
